The Meaning Of Nadia Nakai’s “Ignatius” Tattoo Reveals

Nadia Nakai has a jam-packed week ahead of her. This comes as the leading female rapper prepares to celebrate her 32nd birthday on Thursday, 18 May 2023, following Pearl Thusi’s weekend-long birthday celebrations.

Furthermore, she is expected to return as part of the great cast of Young, Rich, and African’s season two. In addition, she made her debut as a reunion host for the first season of Love and Hip Hop: South Africa.

Nadia Nakai, a rapper and businesswoman, has been announced as the host of the Love and Hip Hop SA reunion.

The artist shared the news with her 3.3 million Instagram followers. She posted a photo of herself in an all-black ensemble, seated in the host’s chair, looking lovely.

The cast of the show includes rapper and hip-hop artists Gigi Lamayne, Fifi Cooper, Yanga Chief, Da Les, J Molley, Shane Eagle, Nicole Swartz, and Money Badoo

While all of these accolades mean that Nadia is booked and busy. The star continues to heal from the passing of her boyfriend and fellow rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. However, recently, Nadia took to social media to share the significance of yet another tattoo she has.

The significance of Nadia Nakai’s “Ignatius” tattoo

Recently, Nadia returned to Twitter. This was to confirm the significance of the tattoo found on her left arm written “Ignatius” with arrows facing upwards when she is holding her microphone. As such, Nadia retweeted the significance which was shared by her official fan page which explained:

This is the most genius tat ever. Ignatius which means "ignite the fire" was the name of @Nadia_nakai's late uncle🕊 & she payed tribute to him by placing the tat on her left arm with arrows pointing towards the hand she holds the mic with, thus igniting her hand! 🥺❤️😭 pic.twitter.com/287orwUqEA

This is not the first tattoo by Nadia to garner attention. This is as back in 2022, she and her late lover set tongues wagging when they got matching tattoos. As reported at the time:

During his recent interview with Drum magazine, AKA confessed his undying love for Nadia Nadia. Even though he has been attached to the big names like Bonang Matheba, and DJ Zinhle, AKA gushes over his new love with Nadia Nakai as a breath of fresh air.

“I am in a fantastic place. Love is in the air. Nadia and I have been together for about a year and just enjoying each other, ” AKA was quoted on Drum Magazine.

AKA continued to mention that music has played a huge role in complimenting their relationship,

“Music always unites us. Both of us being both artists complement our relationship,” added AKA.
As such, it seems that things are getting more serious between lovebirds Nadia Nakai and AKA following the pair getting similar tattoos. Picture of the couple making rounds on social media while getting inked has gotten tweeps talking ‘negatively’ already.

An account belonging to Thembisile_Q shared pictures of both AKA and Nadia Nakai getting tattooed at the parlor. However, that has gotten tweeps inserting negative opinions and comments.
