It means a lot to receive the nod amongst my peers because it recognizes the effort and work that goes behind the talent,” says. Kuhle Adams. According to Kuhle, this nomination is a testament to her hard work since beginning her professional career.

Afternoon Expresso on SABC3 presenter Thabiso Makhubela, who is also nominated for Presenter of The Year says the awards are refreshing because they are led by a pioneering youthful spirit.

“This year has been a very interesting one for all of us transitioning from the gloom of Covid-19. As a presenter, I have enjoyed being able to shine the spotlight on the people and stories that matter to our people most. Highlighting optimism when it seemed dim. This nomination is an absolute honor and recognition of those efforts. The VN awards are special because of their independence. They’re led with a pioneering youthful spirit. So refreshing,” says Thabiso Makhubela.

Sabelo Hadebe who has been making big moves this year as a digital content creator, has scored a nomination for Influencer of The Year. “I’m so excited about being nominated for the VN awards, to be honest, I was shocked at first but then I realized how much I have worked so hard this year. The support and the votes I have seen so far make me realize how blessed I am to have such an engaged audience, my people really support me. But lastly to be nominated on its own means so much and it means I’m doing something right .whether we win or not, being nominated is a win on its own,” he says.
