South Africans have flooded radio and television personality Dineo Ranaka with messages of love and support in response to her sorrowful remarks about suicidal ideation.
On Tuesday, May 23, the Kaya 959 breakfast show anchor told her Instagram followers that she has been struggling to calm the loud suicidal thoughts on her mind.
She wrote: “Because I’m trying my best to NOT commit suicide. My mind is sooo loud of late and life is f****** hard so f****** hard and I’m trying my best but it seems my best is not enough.”

With messages streaming in from her colleagues and fans, her sister and Generations: The Legacy actress Manaka Ranaka gave an update on her state.
“Family is with her right now and we are trying to get her all the help she will need moving forward. She is in a very dark place right now and we are trying to get her to see the light again. Thank you guys…”
