WATCH: DJ Zinhle Shares How She And Murdah Bongz Met

Murdah Bongz, alias Mörda, celebrated his 36th birthday with an all-black themed party with close friends and family, as shown in Instagram images on Thursday 8 June. At the celebration, DJ Zinhle recounted how they met.

The Colours singer may be seen on stage giving her speech at her husband’s birthday party. She told the partygoers a short narrative about how she met the former Black Motion band member as part of her speech.

DJ Zinhle was overheard saying:

“So this guy told me…arg, my gosh, now I have to perform in front of Black Motion. F*** my life. You know that day I told myself you are a star, my baby, you are going to perform my baby. So I went backstage and I found him sitting with some girl.”

Mörda and DJ Zinhle share a one-year-old together named Asante, who is DJ Zinhle’s second born. The stylish mom was previously romantically linked to slain rapper AKA—real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes who died earlier this year. He was shot and killed outside Wish restaurant in Durban on 10 February. The former lovers had an on-and-off relationship but maintained a good co-parenting relationship for their daughter Kairo.

Since AKA’s death, DJ Zinhle has remained close to the Forbes family to the point that she was slammed by fans who accused her of disrespecting her husband and tradition. According to Briefly, the Umlilo hitmaker has since fired back at some of her haters who claimed she was always with the Forbes family and not enough with Mörda’s side of the family.

“I don’t get why South Africans are so scared of getting along. I think for a lot of South Africans it would have given them so much comfort if Kiernan and I never got along,’ the Indlovu hitmaker was quoted as saying.

Despite this, after hearing DJ Zinhle’s remarks at the celebration, fans came to believe she was unsuitable for Mörda. Instead, they believed she was only putting on a show.
