Following the death of his best friend, Don Design has finally spoken out after being condemned by social media users and AKA music fans.
On his Instagram Stories, the DJ paid tribute to the rapper.
Don was with AKA and a group of friends when the hitmaker was killed by an unknown gunman in Durban last Friday.
DON DESIGN BREACHES THE SILENCE
Don Design has kept a low profile since the death of AKA. He’s even disabled comments on his Instagram posts.
Don shared, however, decided to speak out on Saturday, February 18th, the day of AKA’s funeral.
Sharing a pic of him and Super Mega, Don simply wrote: “Rest easy, my friend. Till we meet again”.
Just hours before pushing post on his Instagram Story, Don Design attended the funeral service of AKA, where he was seen in images at the West Park Cemetry.
In pics that have gone viral on Twitter, the DJ is seen pouring a bottle of Hennessy on top of the coffin of AKA – a move many music fans are not impressed with.
“I suspect he put muti inside,” said one tweep. “The audacity!” said another.
