J Something and his wife Cordelia are celebrating their first wedding anniversary. The couple has been married for seven years.
J Something took to twitter to share a heartfelt message to his wife Cordelia in honor of their marriage.
The couple has been together for 11 years and has been married for 7 years.
“7 years ago we made a public declaration that we would commit to discovering this life together until we die, that we would thug it out through the hard times and we would dance in the moments of bliss, that we would kiss and cry together and that we would always talk,” he wrote.
He then admitted that it was a terrifying commitment and that they were committed until death.
“Was a scary commitment I won’t lie … But what is love without vulnerability… what is love without risk … what is love without the unknown … I love you pretty little thing. Till death do us apart @cocodafonseca. ”
“This lady right here @cocodafonseca … this mighty fine young lady right here makes me super duper happy. I have learnt a lot from our journey together. I remember reading a description of love in the Bible one day and thinking, dam I want that. Not only do I wanna receive that, but I wanna GIVE that.” Shared the singer.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.”
“A lot of us have heard of this piece of literature before. I often think of it and what I have come to realize is that the pursuit of the above is the essence of this life, to try and BE LOVE. What I also do realize and this for me has been key, is that we CONSTANTLY fall short of the above too. Now, this is why?
“Well because it is when you realize this that you stop judging your love or the love received or the lack thereof with such harsh terms and understand that as long as the INTENT is there then it’s still worth entertaining it. Nowadays, especially in relationships, we give up too easily. I don’t think we will ever achieve love in its entirety in this lifetime … but the pursuit is the real high,” wrote J Something.
The musician recently announced that he would be opening a new restaurant called ‘Artistry’ in Sandton, Johannesburg.
