Just Confirmed: Mo Flava Joins 947 After Metro FM Exit

Mo Flava, a well-known on-air personality, has joined Radio 947. Moetie Tsiki is the station’s most recent addition as it revamps its lineup.

Mo Flava joins 947 after saying goodbye to his breakfast show on Metro FM. Flava’s departure from Metro FM after eight years was undoubtedly shocking to many.

According to Sowetan Times, Radio 947 has since confirmed adding Mo Flava to its star-studded April lineup. As of 3 April, Mo Flava will take over the weekday morning show slot.

“947 is excited to welcome Mo Flava to the already dynamic on air presenter lineup. His vast experience and style makes him an excellent fit with the stable and we look forward to the unique flavour as the Station continues to refresh to remain relevant and relatable for our listeners,” says Primedia’s 947 station manager Ravi Naidoo.

The announcement has since thrust Mo Flava into the top trends. Mzansi has since flooded social media with congratulatory messages to Mo Flava, who has been winning big of late, thanks to his career-spanning years.

Mo Flava will headline the 947 Midday Show from 9:00 to 12:00. He will join the likes of Anele Mdoda, who hosts the popular Anele and the Club breakfast show.

RADIO 947’S STAR-STUDDED LINEUP
A new slot is on the cards, the power night show, which Msizi James “King of Commercial”, will cohost with Bolele Polisa on weeknights.

A few months ago, celebrated sports broadcaster Robert Marawa joined the station. No doubt Mo Flava joins a star-studded lineup which includes:

  • Zweli Mbhele
  • Thando Thabethe
  • Robert Marawa
  • Msizi James
  • Bolele Polisa
  • Anele Mdoda

However, 947 has often made headlines for the wrong reasons in recent years. The station was once implicated in DJ Fresh’s abuse allegations which saw the celebrated DJ being axed. In the wake of his exit, Thando Thabethe took over the 947 drive-time show after the DJ’s exit.
