One thing that has almost become a given recently is how the newest amapiano artists are gaining international acclaim. Kelvin Momo, the newest amapiano DJ and producer, is no exception, as he receives flowers from Canadian rapper Drake.
One could argue that DJ Black Coffee has played a significant role in bringing Mzansi artists to the attention of international artists. However, if the talent crosses African borders and reaches international stages, all credit goes to those artists.
The newest amapiano producer and DJ Kelvin Momo is beyond ecstatic, this comes after he was a direct message (DM) on Instagram from the international rapper, Drake. In the DM, Drake expresses how much he listens and appreciates Momo’s sound.

Although Kelvin Momo is another amapiano DJ and producer, however his different sound is what has set him apart from the rest. Him and his sound have been dubbed the ‘king of private school amapiano’.
Momo’s newest album ‘Amukelani’ has been highly praised and equally receiving raving reviews. And this recognition from Drake comes nothing short from all the praises he has been receiving from his fellow music friends as well as his fans and supporters here in Mzansi.
