When she is not working as an actress, recently the star has become mainly the club party host for various local and international nightclubs and maintaining her alleged relationship with Anatii. But now she is set to venture into music.
Pearl Thusi set to venture into music
Recently, Thusi conducted an in depth and thought-provoking interview with Hype Magazine. The interview served more as a life and wellness update on Thusi’s life and times as she continues being a mother of two to biological daughter Thando Mokeona and adoptive daughter Okuhlekonke. Moreover, she detailed how she has been coming to terms with the loss of her father.
While the interview was insightful. Like when Thusi discussed bumping into controversial Twitter personality Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi following the personality recently dragging her for filth on the blue app. This is as Nota suggested that Thusi was an absent mother more focussed on anything but her children.
A stance which Thusi alleged that Nota did not mean in sincerity, but as many assumed about Nota, was just saying whatever that would get him to trend while sticking it to Thusi. This is due to Thusi’s support of her friend and fellow ZAlebs when Nota was attempting to troll Nyovest on the timeline.
But arguably, the biggest surprise was the confirmation that Thusi is set to venture into music. This being a fact which she confirmed briefly towards the end of the interview. This is as she confirmed that her debut single is set to be released in January 2023.
While the single might not be officially released. But the media personality has been performing the song during her hosting events. However, it seems not in South Africa as the first time she shared herself performing the song was during her recent visit to Namibia.
Therefore, it will be interesting to see the reaction of the general public when Mama Pantha releases what sounds like an upbeat, kwaito meets Amapiano single.
Pearl Thusi’s first music venture
Pearl Thusi has been the muse for a number of his singles, most notable being Emtee’s Pearl Thusi. The fact that Thusi is venturing into music for her die-hard fans will not come as a surprise. This is as the Queen Sono lead has in the past worked as a vocalist on a prominent music legend’s song.
Pointedly, Oskido. Back in 2021, Oskido featured Thusi and vocalist Nokwazi on one of his lead singles Une Mali. The song did not show off Thusi’s vocal range and ability to its fullest as her vocals functioned more for the function of stacking vocals to give the single fullness. Therefore, the verdict is still out on whether this new venture Thusi’s desired results.
