Prince Kaybee was once a hitmaker who released hit after hit year after year. This made him the only musician in history to win Song of the Year three years in a row. However, with the introduction of Amapiano, similar to House music, it appeared that Prince Kaybee’s career was on the decline.
As a result, Prince Kaybee struggled to make new music last year after a string of unsuccessful singles and the release of his album Gemini. According to what was reported at the time:

While he did receive support from his fan base at the time. It did seem that time was not making the matter of his creative block and insecurities about music any better. As such, Kaybee had again asserted that he was struggling with writing and producing new music. As it was reported:

Undoubtedly, Prince Kaybee would own the festive season with his summer hits, but this year he did not bless us with his music. Taking to his Twitter account he revealed why he did not release new music this year.
In light of amapiano and Tik Tok owning 2022, Prince Kaybee said he wanted others to have a chance to make music this year. He revealed this after a fan asked him why hasn’t dropped any new music this year.
“KB. Do you have new music bro? There’s a clear unignorable void in the music scene in SA and it’s your touch that’s missing. Please release soon or advise me on any new projects you’ve released. You’re a great artist, I enjoy your music,” the fan wrote.
In response, according to Prince Kaybee he did not drop music because amapiano is doing well and people are still in awe of the Tik Tok sensations.

While Prince Kaybee might be feeling a bit jaded when it comes to music, it does seem that the Fetch Your Life hitmaker cannot fight the urge to create new music. This comes as he took to Twitter, as he usually does, to share snippets of the new music he was working on.
The “work in progres” single with a mid-tempo, hard hitting bass which is almost reminiscent of tribal-House music, features vocals from Liquideep famed vocalist Ziyon.

Fans of the musician did not say much about the song after it was shared. Perhaps it was due to the realization that the song was not yet finished. As a result, commenting on it would have been premature. While it appears that new music from Prince Kaybee is not on the horizon, his ability on the decks is something that he is still praised for.
