Sayitsheni Mdakhi Speaks Out On Untrue Bolt Driving Reports

The pandemic exposed the fractures and issues of inequity in pay for the majority of South Africa’s creative industry. Particularly when it comes to independent actors.

As a result, when former Rhythm City actor, writer, and producer Siyatsheni Mdakhi was revealed to be working for the e-hailing app Bolt. This was not a taboo subject. This is according to the online journal Zimoja:

Initially taking to his Instagram to address the matter of his decision to go on to Bolt to make ends meet during the pandemic. Siyatsheni Mdakhi initially seemed to find the article funny. As such, he joked the former Uzalo head writer Chris Q was behind creating this false story.
