There is no doubt that replacing an actor who seamlessly played their character requires a lot of hard work and perseverance. It must have been difficult for actor Wiseman Mncube to imagine how fans would react to his portrayal of Mqhele in The Wife.
The actor took over for Bonko Khoza, who portrayed Mqhele for two seasons, and fans showered him with roses for faithfully portraying the character.
The Wife’s last season premiered on Thursday, and it is set to be one of the books. Wiseman expressed his gratitude to the show’s viewers on his Facebook page.
He said he is grateful and feeling blessed. “I come a long way and has always worked hard on my craft with discipline professionalism and dedication. Always had and still have a dream to make it. Right now I think I’m on the right path…it’s the gift I was gifted me with which I love and respect. And nayo its keeps showing me the same love and respect. Thank you to everyone who keep on pushing inspiring motivating and cheering me to never give up who constantly remind me how great I am. I will never stop. While some have compared his character to Bonko, others have assured him that he is doing well.
