Trevor Noah clarifies his decision to step down as host of The Daily Show.
The South African had to clear the air after several stories surfaced; speaking with the Daily Sun team, the star denied leaving the show due to dating rumors with singer Dua Lipa.
“That is not how it happened. Please do not believe anything you read in the tabloids. It’s not true,” Trevor said.
He further spoke on the things he’s missed, as he got to realize them during Lockdown 2020.
“The thing I missed most, and it happened mostly in the pandemic, and I know I’m not alone in this, I missed people. I missed two years of people’s lives. I missed two years of eating food in South Africa. I missed two years of travelling with my family and friends.”
“I’m looking forward to living a little more, expressing a little more, growing a little more, and trying new things,” he said.
Trevor Noah continues to secure the bags after leaving the show as he will be hosting The Grammys for the third time in a row; he also will be touring different countries in the world to host comedy shows, including in South Africa.
