TxC In Doha, Taking The Amapiano Experience To The FIFA World Cup

TxC, a South African band, will perform in Doha and Dubai during the 2022 FIFA World Cup™ festivities this week.

Budweiser, an official partner of the FIFA World Cup™, is bringing TxC’s “Amapiano Experience” to the BUD World Club in Doha on December 3rd as part of a star-studded line-up that includes American rapper Lil Baby, Côte d’Ivoire’s Suspect 95, and Zambian Hip-Hop artist Slapdee.

After that, the Amapiano duo will headline the BUDX FIFA Fan Fest at Dubai Harbour on December 4th at sunset.

“We’ve worked so hard for this moment, and we hope that our fans are similarly inspired to take their own journey towards seizing greatness and pursuing their dreams. It’s all possible! This is such an exciting time for us and we’re going to make South Africa proud,” said Tarryn and Clairise, aka TxC.

Following their debut in 2021, TxC swiftly cemented a reputation for dropping the coolest Amapiano sets, combining an awesome playlist with highly charged dance moves which have impacted dance culture around the world. Recent epic performances include Manchester’s largest Afrofusion Coko Festival alongside Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and Fireboy. Meanwhile their trail-blazing “Fierce Piano World Tour” has also garnered critical praise for outstanding club performances in the UK, Switzerland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Portugal, and Belgium.

The artists are ready to fly the South African flag high abroad. Speaking to Drum about their preparations for the trip they said. “We’re looking forward to going to Germany for the first time,” said Tarryn Reid.

“We’ll be headlining shows all across Europe over their summer period and plan on doing as much as we can on that side,” she added.

The duo hails from the Eastern Cape and they said all their international shows are always fully sold out. “We stayed in Cape Town for a while and now we’re based in Johannesburg.” Being young girls in the Eastern Cape city, they could never have imagined how quickly they would rise to fame – and it’s all thanks to amapiano.

“All our International shows to date have always been sold out so we’re looking forward to another sold-out show,” said Clairise. “We put all our faith in God with everything we do, so we had faith that God would pull through and open certain doors for us. But God has exceeded our expectations and we’re excited for what’s to come.”
