In December, it appears that a large number of ZAlebs have or are about to celebrate their birthdays. This included Zizo Tshwete, who was celebrating her 33rd birthday at the time. Tshwete celebrated her milestone birthday with a themed birthday party, with attendees encouraged to dress as their favorite alter egos.
Zizo, formerly Beda and now Tshwete, is a former Miss Teen South Africa who rarely makes headlines. The former beauty queen turned broadcaster has been deliberate in how she portrays herself. Especially since discovering her vocation in religion.
This is because her Instagram account has grown in popularity among those looking for a Christian devotee who spreads the gospel through her social media platform. Despite the wholesome image that Shae has cultivated for herself, it appears that Zizo knows how to have fun. This comes after she revealed her unexpected outfit for her recent birthday.
Tshwete for her alter ego went all in as she opted to dress like body positive singer-songwriter Moonchild Sanelly. Not only did she embrace the look by dressing in a manner which was not common for Tshwete as she had on stockings and corset. But she also donned the signature blue haired mop that Sanelly has trademarked.
In her caption she explained in part that:
“I consider it a great blessing to be with so many people who choose to do life with me.
I love to surround myself with people who are dreamers, action takers and that live life to the fullest. I’m inspired with the business brains in this mix of people. (Not just cute faces, although these faces are really cute.)”
As Tshwete is not on Twitter, a tweep who wanted to start some kind of beef took to Twitter to tag Sanelly and ask if she was aware that Zizo had “stolen” her look. But Moonchild was quick with her response by asserting not only was she aware of Tshwete’s look, but that she was the one to style her too.

Ironically, Zizo’s birthday celebrations came just days following her ex-husband Mayihlome Tshwete taking to Twitter to celebrate his 40th birthday. Mayi revealed that he celebrated his birthday in a more low-key manner by spending time at home with his two kids with his former wife.

While the couple is divorced, it appears that they still have a strong connection as a family. This is because they continue to show up for their children’s milestones together. Furthermore, Mayi continues to support Zizo, as evidenced by the former beauty queen trending on social media for her alleged breakdown.
Mayi was supportive of his children’s mother, taking to Twitter to explain that Zizo has a strong affinity for Christianity and, as such, can be passionate in her delivery of her belief. Despite their separation, the two co-parents continue to respect and care for each other, according to the support. More so, given that Zizo retains her surname despite the divorce.
