Gospel Star, Betusile Mcinga Won Song Of The Year At Metro FM Awards

Betusile Mcinga’s viral song Ngena Noah won again. Umhlobo Wenene FM named it song of the year in January.

Betusile Mcinga started singing in church at 14 and became a musician. He eventually joined his gospel superstar mother’s group Lusanda Mcinga’s Spiritual Group as a keyboardist and backing vocalist.

He has released five albums since 2008. Mcinga received the Crown Gospel Award for best rookie in 2014 for Zundithwale, which went viral and was loved!

The gospel gem was nominated amongst big artists like AKA and KO at the SAMA awards for the song of the year and unexpectedly won.

SAMA awards are known to be the biggest awards that cater for the most known and listened to music in South Africa. Seeing a gospel singer win was an absolute shocker for many as many people claimed to not know the song until the day of the announcement.

In his interview with the Touchdown, Mcinga said it was “all God”, in his acceptance statement he said, “to God be the Glory”.

“The interview we did here in January was a prophecy of the rain of blessings that were coming in my life,” Mcinga said as he expressed his gratitude to Tbo Touch for affording him the opportunity to come to his show.

Tbo Touch said after seeing Noah in the song of the year announcement envelope he quickly told the minister that they have a crisis as they are about to make the biggest announcement in the history of music!
