Lucas Radebe, former Leeds United and Bafana Bafana captain, and his son, Primo Baloyi, are the celebrity guests on episode three of South Africa’s favorite festive season special, The Festive Get-Together in The Life Artois, this Thursday, December 1st, at 21h30 on Mzansi Magic (DSTV channel 161).

In the episode, the football legend and his Tik Tok superstar son discuss taking your own path and making your mark while making time for each other, even in tough times.

The Festive Get-Together, hosted by Unathi Nkayi and presented by Stella Artois, features celebrity pairs who share their success stories over a special meal and the challenges of getting together with friends and family.

Last week’s guests, comedy powerhouse friends Lesego Tlhabi and Wendy Gumede, joined Unathi for an episode of friendship, comedy, and sisterhood, including a “Stella Moment” in which Wendy was given a digitally laid out image of her parents (who she lost at a young age and had no pictures of together) set “then and now” as a young girl and now as an adult. Lesego’s “Stella Moment” saw her team up with music artist, vocal guide, and Jamali group member Mariechan Luiters to go into the studio and overcome her fear of singing, her greatest love.

A pioneer in South African football, Lucas Radebe played and captained Kaizer Chiefs, Leeds United and Bafana Bafana, and was part of the national team that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1996. Primo, meanwhile, has become a famous and influential Tik Tok star, forging his own way, outside of the shadow of his father.

“Taking your own journey is just that, and you don’t have to follow in anyone’s footsteps to make your own mark. At the same time, love and family is everything and Lucas and Primo’s story of support and success is so inspiring,” says Unathi.

In each episode, Unathi is also joined by a celebrity chef who creates dishes for the celebrity guests that invoke memories of love for their family & friends. In this episode, chef Zanele van Zyl creates a special festive menu of traditional soul food dishes for Lucas and Primo.

Today an accomplished chef, author, and culinary personality, as a young girl Zanele watched her mother cook soulful traditional food. It was only after she met her husband, who challenged her in the kitchen with his cooking skills, that she discovered her passion and talent in culinary arts, leading her to start the “Cooking With Zanele” classes where she teaches and shares her passion for food with keennfoodies in kitchens across the country.
