Mampintsha’s Mom Criticizes Babes Wodumo For Not Mourning Her Son

Zama Gumede, the late Mampintsha’s mother, criticizes Babes Wodumo for how she is mourning her husband’s death.

Babes Wodumo has resumed performing after being spotted at a music festival the day after her husband’s funeral; she was also recently spotted at a club.

Zama confirmed to Zimoja that she has made peace with the Gqom queen after years of feuding.

“One; no offense, I love Babes, she and I reunited and made peace at the funeral, but this is not how things are done, “she says.

Zama further expressed her displeasure on how Wodumo has refused to stay at home to mourn Mandla Mampintsha Maphumlo.

“Firstly, she is not at home, she is gallivanting in the streets, drinking and partying. Two, she is not wearing traditional mourning clothes. The daughter of a pastor is not following the rules. She is doing things her own way,” she adds.

“I am not a very traditional person myself, and I understand people heal differently and deal with grief in their own way, but this is not right. This is painful to watch. She is disrespecting my son in a way.”

The mother-in-law fears that Babes Wodumo might start dating another man soon.

“Why are they not saying anything? It has not even been a month. I wouldn’t be shocked If she were to start dating someone. After everything, I am very disappointed. I just want her and me to talk and for us to find a way forward.”

The two women have been in a fight before the death of Mandla, but they ended their fight before he died, and Babes further confirmed the peace during the funeral service of her husband.
