Eben Etzebeth, a Springbok player, responded to his fiancee Anlia van Rensburg’s sweet post congratulating him on winning SA Rugby Player of the Year. Anlia took to Instagram on Tuesday, January 31st, to congratulate her soon-to-be husband and express how proud she is of him.
Etzebeth was nominated for the award alongside Malberhe, Siya Kolisi, Lukhanyo Am, and Kurt-Lee Arendse.
Anlia posted two photos of herself with Etzebeth and sweetly stated that she adores him. Take a look…

Etzebeth then comment on the post saying “My trophy is standing next to me ❤️”.
Etzebeth revealed that he and Anlia will be getting married this Saturday 4 February. He also revealed that fellow Springbok player Frans Malherbe will also be getting married this Saturday 4 February – speaking at a press conference at SARU House, SA Rugby’s headquarters in Plattekloof, Cape Town.
“Siya is at my wedding and Scarra (Ntubeni) at his. I told Siya and Scarra they have to video call each other at some stage during the evening and then just give the phones to me and Frans so we can congratulate each other,” he said.
The Getroud Met Rugby star and Etzebeth met in Melkbosstrand, a coastal village north of Cape Town, in October 2021 – according to The Citizen. Just five months later, the Rugby star popped the question and Anlia said yes!
