Thabo Bester And Dr Nandi Make Virtual Court Appearances

On Tuesday, the case against Mzansi’s ride-or-die couple, Thabo Bester and Dr Nandipha Magudumana, was adjourned at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court.

The pair appeared remotely in court.

Bester, dubbed the “Facebook rapist,” appeared by AVR, while his lover, Magudumana, appeared via Zoom.

Bester is currently being detained at Pretoria’s Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Facility.

According to a previous report by IOL, Bester appeared virtually as security concerns were raised.

Magudumana’s father, Zolile Sekeleni, and the five former G4S personnel accused of helping Bester escape appeared in court.

Bester, Magudumana, and her father Sekeleni’s case was postponed to June 20.

Mutenyane Masukela was detained for allegedly letting Bester in.

The accused, including Magudumana, face fraud, corruption, violating a body, harboring an escaped felon, and defeating justice allegations.

G4S guards Senohe Matsoara, Motenyani Masukela, Tieho Makhotsa, Natassja Jansen, and Integritron Integrated Solutions technician Teboho Lipholo will continue their bail hearings and cross-examine police witness Tieho Flyman.

Sekeleni has R10,000 bail.

Last Monday, only Magudumana withdrew her bail application, citing new evidence.

Magudumana, Bester, and a Mozambican were caught in Arusha, Tanzania last month after fleeing the country after Bester’s prison escape was revealed.

Bester escaped prison in May 2022 by faking his death with the help of his G4S buddies, who burned a corpse in his private cell.

Katlego Bereng, 30, was burned in Bester’s prison cell to fake the Facebook rapist’s death.
