In court, Zandie offered multiple inconsistent claims, and Mzansi continues to poke holes in her story. According to News 24, Zandie Khumalo stated that after the incident, she couldn’t recall the police number. Khumalo then claimed she proceeded to a neighbor’s house, where she was met with the same hysterical reaction.

She also allegedly said that as the invaders burst in, she hidden her cell phone.

“I took my cell phone, given the fact that I was shocked and nervous during that time I couldn’t even recall a number that I could punch into the cellphone. “The publication continues to quote Zandie who then went to the neighbor’s home, Maggie Phiri, to seek help.

“I entered the premises through the gate, screamed at her, and said Mam Phiri please phone call the police and the ambulance.”

Zandie claimed no one at Maggie’s home could help so he went back home.

“Then I realized that given these circumstances, one is not going to get any help and I went back home.”
On her first day in court, Zandie Khumalo became emotional and confronted the 5 accused men.

“Do you know what you have done to our lives? Do you even know what you have done?” cried Zandie Khumalo.
