Zoleka Mandela – ‘I Feel Blessed To Be Able To Plan My Death’

Many people’s hearts broke last year when novelist Zoleka Mandela revealed she had bone cancer. The mother of six wrote a lengthy message about the diagnosis, leaving her followers devastated by describing her children who will be motherless if she dies.

She seemed to have come to terms with the fact that she no longer has as much time as she once had.

Zoleka said in a recent interview that she is “planning her death.”

Zoleka Mandela, the granddaughter of struggle hero Nelson Mandela, has shattered many people’s hearts by disclosing her cancer battle.

“Yesterday (29.08.2022) marked my official diagnosis, the CT scan has revealed cancer both in my liver and lungs. I am yet to receive feedback regarding my Bone scan, to establish whether I have cancer beyond my ribs. I am hanging on by a thread,” she wrote.

And now she has shared another update but this time, it seems like she has made peace with death.

Speaking during a Kaya FM interview, Zoleka revealed that she has now started planning her death.

According to her, she has sat down with lawyers and her family to discuss the final stages of her life and what should happen once she is no more.

“It will probably sound strange but, I think I am blessed or fortunate enough to be in a position where I am in my planning stages. I am having conversations with my loved ones, lawyer, therapist, and siblings to discuss what happens on the day and after I pass away,” she says.
