Police Open Inquest Into Determining Costa Titch’s Cause Of Death

According to SABC News, police have confirmed that an inquest into the death of musician and Amapiano star Costa Titch has been opened.

Costa Tsobanoglou, also known as Costa Titch, died on Saturday night at the Johannesburg Ultra Music Festival (11 March).

Costa Titch tragically died on Saturday 11 March at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg, Gauteng, at the Expo Centre. At the time of his death, the musician was only 28 years old.

According to SABC News, police have confirmed that an inquest into the death of the Super Soft hitmaker has been opened.

“We can confirm that the police in SAPS Booysen have registered a case of inquest following the death of 28-year-old Mr Costa Tsobanoglou on 11 March 2023. It is reported that Tsobanoglou collapsed while he was performing at the Ultra South Africa concert at Nasrec,” read a statement according to SABC News.

“Post-mortem will determine the cause of death,” the statement continued.

Weekend Argus reported that the cause of death is yet to be confirmed but there is speculation that the musician had a seizure possibly triggered by the flashing lights. The musician was known to have suffered from epilepsy – A condition that affects the brain and causes seizures.
