Maria Mabaso, Thabo Bester’s mother, claims that the convicted murderer and rapist was conceived through rape.
The mother recently spoke on Eye Witness News (EWN) about the upbringing of the “Facebook rap!st.”
Mabaso gave birth to Thabo when she was 17 years old, and she went on to describe the sexual assault horror that resulted in the existence of the murderer.
Maria stated that the heinous incident occurred on her way back from seeing her sister with her cousin.
They were picked up by a man who had raped her.
“He nearly killed me… but luckily, I did not die,” she explained.
Mabaso raised Bester until he was one, thereafter, her mother requested to take him into her custody.
However, he doesn’t know his father.
Maria revealed what she might say to Thabo if she’s chanced to meet him.
“I will ask him why you do like that; you don’t think about us because when you do that you’re killing me. He’s killing me now this child. I’m scared for the tsotsis [criminals], I’m scared for Thabo. It’s my child, I like him I’ll never throw him away but what he was doing is wrong…”
