The Public Now Has A Soft Spot For Themba Broly

This week, Themba “Broly” Mabaso has received a lot of backlash on social media. All of this stems from the breakdown of his relationship with Big Brother Mzansi’s most recent winner, Mpho Wabadimo. It was primarily because of how Themba treated Mpho near the end of their relationship.

Mpho has accused Themba of abandoning her during her pregnancy. Allegations that have led the public to believe that Themba was only with her because she won R2 million on Big Brother. As a result, Themba has faced bullying from Mpho’s supporters outside of social media.

However, the recent episode of his popular reality show Themba Broly: My Inked World has shared some light on Themba’s personal life. So much so that it has earned him some empathy and sympathy from the public.

The public has a change of heart for Themba Broly

In previous episodes of My Inked World, the focus has been on Themba’s relationship with his baby mama of two Nqobile, and how they navigate co-parenting following his rise to fame. As a result, the focus has been on the love triangle between him, Nqobile and Mpho Wabadimo.

However, in the recent episode, we finally got to see Themba as a brother and the breadwinner of his family. A fact which tugged at the heartstrings of a number of viewers. This is as it was revealed that through his fame and subsequent “wealth,” Themba has become the breadwinner of his family.

A family which consists of 14 relatives including his siblings, and the addition of his two children and one on the way. As such, fans seemed to understand why Themba could sometimes not be present for Mpho as he was chasing money in order to support all of the aforementioned family members.

Seeing Themba crying about the reality of being famous and a breadwinner has seen social media at least have a change of heart in terms of the bullying Themba has faced lately.
